Recipe Wednesday - Taco Seasoning

I've been meaning for some time to post this recipe.  I found it a couple of years back when we were dealing with Alex's food allergies.  I never tried it until a couple of weeks before we left for India and that time I used it along with a package of store bought seasoning (so I couldn't quite make out the true flavor of this).  I just made it for the second time Saturday and used only this recipe.  I mixed our cooked ground turkey (probably about a pound of it cooked), the seasoning, about a third cup of water and probably a cup or so of salsa.  Ajay - my picky eater - took a bite straight from the pan and said "good meat!"  He ate all of his taco and then stole a bite or two from mine.

I wish I could say who I got the recipe from but I don't know.  My apologies.

Taco Seasoning
Dairy, Egg, Wheat, Soy, Peanut, Tree nut, Fish, Shellfish Safe (for those worried about allergies)
Makes the equivalent of 1 package of taco seasoning. The original poster of the recipe says "I like to make a LOT and store it in a Tupperware." 3 TB. = 1 package of seasoning

2 tsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1 1/2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. onion powder
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne

I'd rank this as a medium.  Maybe a mild medium.  It's a tad spicy but nothing my wussy taste buds can't handle when served with the rest of the taco fixins.
