A new Mr. and Mrs.!!

Congrats to my baby brother and my new sister-in-law -- welcome to the family!

Ajay was a ring bearer, along with Thomas, my new nephew!

Alex didn't want to nap, but wanted to fuss, so I put him in my Baby K'Tan carrier and he slept through the rest of the ceremony. (This is before the ceremony, before he started being Mr. Fussbucket)

The proud parents of the groom - with Papa helping to keep Alex in a good mood. Alex loves to face out and see the world!

Biju getting his picture taken with Ajay. Of course Ajay wanted his photo taken by Sarah, the Photographer, but here he was yelling at me "No!! I don't want you to take my pit-cher!!"
Me (Kalinda) posing with my lil bro on his wedding day.

Outdoor fun

So I hung 2 loads of laundry this afternoon -- took up all 3 lines. And as you can see, the nylon boat string doesn't work very well to hang clothes on!! They stretch/droop way too much. So either I need to deal, or go find some other line to replace the nylon with. (The diapers in the other picture were from yesterday - diapers dry VERY stiffly when out on the line... I threw a few of the prefolds and hemp inserts into the dryer with a shoe for 20 minutes to soften them up a bit!)
As I was out taking photos of the laundry on the line, I heard a "scritch scritch scritch...scritch scritch scritch..." I looked up in the tree and found this little feller enjoying a mid-afternoon snack!

What we did this week...

We had a pretty laid back week. Ajay has been playing outside a lot since the weather has been so beautiful. Alex has been in a good mood for the most part. He still sleeps a lot during the day, but has also been letting me get a solid 3 hours of sleep at night. I would like more, of course, but it is better than what he was letting me get last week! We didn't have a play gym for Alex to play under, so our Parents As Teachers parent educator suggested we use a couple chairs to join some toys to for him to bat and kick at, so thats what I did! You can see he enjoyed it. Lisa, due in about 3 months, brought over a little gym for him to play under, so we'll use that for a few months, then when she has little Ellie Jane, we'll give it back. Alex LOVES it!
Alex went to an allergist this week and we discovered he's allergic to Milk (cow's), Eggs, Wheat, Cinnamon, Garlic, and dust mites. He's not allergic to oats, rice and peanuts. There are many other foods that we didnt' test for, so I'm on yet another diet to get down to a "base" level... try to get everything he's allergic to out of my system and his, then I'll start adding foods back in one at a time to see if he has a reaction. So right now I'm just eating oatmeal and peaches. Next I'll add in chicken, then rice, then broccoli, and so on. I've got 3 weeks of "add ins" planned out, then I'll go from there. It takes a lot out of me, but the bonus part is that I'm already 8lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight!!
Ajay is quite the budding little photographer. Auntie Morgan has the same type of camera as us and has spent some time with Ajay, teaching him how to turn it on, take a picture, and scroll through the pictures on the display screen. He loves it -- altho I have discovered some photos on the camera that were taken without permission, so we have to be sure the camera is well out of his reach!
I added two more lines to our clothes-line pole, and have sheets out drying, and will soon put Alex's diapers out there. Biju plans on mowing today, so I hope we don't get little grass clippings on the clothes!!

Brothers Bonding

Ajay has a rocking chair just like this - it is where we read his stories to him, and rock him to sleep. Once Biju was done putting this chair together for Alex, Ajay wanted to read him a story.

Fun for all!

This is what Biju spent the weekend doing, along with the help from friend, Num. Hopefully Ajay (and Alex eventually) will get much use out if it!

The start of a new blog!

Well I figured it was about time I jumped on the blogging bandwagon. I got a little scrape on my elbow when I jumped, but overall I think I'm getting the hang of it. I'll try to keep you all updated with what is going on in our household - instead of just looking at pictures on Photobucket, you can now read a little about how our days are going. Enjoy!
