A new baby!

Welcome to the world, Tessa Renee!! 

I chatted with my brother, Jeff, online a little last night before bed.  Since Logan (he turned 2 in August) was breach and was born via c-section, Tessa would enjoy the same delivery method.  Jeff told me Jaime (his wife) wouldn't be able to sleep a wink and that he was going to be in trouble if he was able to sleep!  They had to wake up at 5am to get ready to go to the hospital. 

I called Mom while we were getting Ajay ready for school this morning to check on the situation.  Mom had taken her laptop with her to the hospital so when Alex and I got back from taking Ajay to the bus stop we got on the web-cam to chat for awhile.  After some time, I heard Jeff come into the room and announce that the baby had arrived and was doing well.

She was born at 8:15am, was 7lb 11oz, and was 20.5in. long.  Mom e-mailed me some pics (gotta love modern technology!)

 She got her daddy's cheeks!

I crocheted up a hat for her - I hope it's the right size!  They got it in the mail yesterday and I think they took it to the hospital with them.
